Castell de Bellver, Palma, Mallorca

I recently had a trip to Palma, Mallorca for a 6-day holiday. I had an amazing time, and one of the highlights of the trip was visiting the historical buildings and castles, such as Castell de Bellver.

Entry costs 4€ for visitors and 2€ for locals. This was definitely one of the best value-for-money experiences around Palma in my opinion.

Opening Hours:
Monday:
CLOSED
Tuesday to Saturday: 10am – 7pm (closes 6pm October to March)
Sundays and Bank Holidays: 10am. To 3pm.

As you climb each of the three floors inside, you’ll see amazing statues and artifacts dating back to the 14th century when the castle was built by King James II of Majorca.

The first floor houses the Museum of the History of the City, showcasing Palma’s fascinating past through a range of exhibits, including Roman artifacts and medieval pottery. It just gets better as you go, and then when you reach the top, you’re immediately met with a beautiful panoramic view of Palma and its bay.

Castell de Bellver stood out as a highlight. The combination of its unique circular design, historical significance, and breathtaking views made it an unforgettable part of my trip.

If you ever find yourself in Palma, Mallorca, I highly recommend a visit to Castell de Bellver. It’s a perfect blend of history, architecture, and stunning vistas – an experience that truly captures the essence of this beautiful city.
